If you are a new puppy parent or even a seasoned dog guardian, you’ve probably heard of “positive training”.

Unfortunately, there are some who still believe that harsher training methods are the best way to train a dog.  But there are a growing number of dog trainers who are catching on to positive training methods.  And AZ Dog Sports is one of them!  Our trainers have been implementing more constructive training methodologies for years, with much success.

Positive training methods are positively working for thousands of dog trainers around the world!  And  Jessa Parker is coming home to give a one-time seminar explaining why positive reinforcement training is more effective than negative consequence training.

“Positive training is a way of educating dogs and their owners without the use of corrections or aversives.  This means handlers train without using fear, avoidance, or pain to change behavior. While there are many good reasons to train positive, I will be examining the reasons to avoid using punishment in training.”~ Jessa

In this seminar Jessa will be discussing the pitfalls of most punishment-based training, and how you can be a more effective trainer while being kinder to your dog.

This seminar will also give you a chance to clear up any misconceptions you may have about positive dog training. Positive-training isn’t about a lack of consequences for bad behavior, it’s about choosing the best and kindest consequence for every situation.

Join us at AZ Dog Sports on Sunday November 4th from 9:00am – 10:30am to hear what Jessa has to say.  The cost is $50 per person and you can sign up by calling our front desk at 602-237-6775.

We hope to see you there!
